Peter J. Poulos, 42, of the 0-100 block of Open Parkway North, Hawthorn Woods, is accused of criminal damage to property, theft under $500, and was arrested at 12:19 p.m. March 29 after an investigation that started on March 9 in the 2700 block of Old Willow Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of April 13 in Skokie.

Valeriy P. Shpak, 67, of the 5400 block of West Berenice Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over 0.08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and was arrested at 4:47 p.m. March 30 after a car accident in the 500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of May 28 in Skokie.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Beth M. Demas, 47, of the 9000 block of Mango Avenue, Morton Grove, is accused of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with one headlight, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:28 a.m. March 31 in the 2100 block of Waukegan Road. He was held for a bond hearing on March 31.

DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

Fadi K. Farjo, 21, of the 900 block of East Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding 15-20 mph over the limit, and was arrested at 12:48 a.m. April 2 in the 0-100 block of Harlem Avenue. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of April 27 in Skokie.

FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT

Scott M. Jacobsen, 39, of the 300 block of Ferndale Road, Glenview, is accused of having a warrant from the Cook County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear in court, and was arrested at 11:58 p.m. April 3 in Glenview. He was held for a bond hearing.

METHAMPHETAMINE POSSESSION LESS THAN 5 GRAMS

Kathryn C. Hallenborgh, 51, of the 1800 Tanglewood Drive, Glenview, is accused of methamphetamine possession less than 5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a suspended/revoked driver's license, failure to signal when required, and was arrested at 10:15 p.m. April 4 in the 1600 block of Patriot Boulevard. She was held for bond April 5 in Skokie.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Officers responded to an alarm at 4:25 a.m. March 31 at a business in the 2700 block of Willow Road. They found a sliding glass door on the north side of the building had been shattered. A rock was on the ground right in front of the door. Officers determined no entry was made into the business.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A resident of Highland Park called police at 7:23 p.m. April 4 to report someone damaged their vehicle with an unknown tool while it was parked at in the 2900 block of Patriot Boulevard. Total reported loss is $250.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

  • An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 12:56 p.m. April 2 receiving unwanted telephone calls from a customer.
  • A resident in the 1900 block of Monroe Avenue called police at 7:17 p.m. April 4 to report a male was punching vehicles as he walked down the street. Officers located the male, who was intoxicated. No damage was found to any vehicles in the area. Officers drove the man home and he was turned over to family members.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 2500 block of Pebbleford Lane called police at 10:01 p.m. April 2 to report someone entered the attached garage and removed a safe from an unlocked vehicle. Total reported loss is $289.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

An employee of a business in the 3900 block of reported at 7:46 a.m. April 3 two benches were broken away from a chain, flipped over, and damaged.

THEFT

  • An employee of a wildlife removal business in the 500 block of 5th Street called police at 11:20 a.m. April 3 to report an animal trap was stolen. Total reported loss is $150.
  • An Ohio resident reported at 4:54 p.m. April 3 someone stole a wallet from their hotel room in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Total reported loss is $1,000.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

An employee of a hotel in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 8:27 a.m. April 4 to report a guest caused a disturbance after checking out of the hotel.

MINOR IN POSSESSION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Officers located five juveniles at 1:53 a.m. April 6 in the 2200 block of Grove Street after a resident complained of noise in the area. Three of the juveniles were issued Village of Glenview ordinance citations for Minors in Possession of Alcoholic Beverages and Curfew Violation. The other two juveniles were issued Village of Glenview ordinance citations for Minors in Possession of Alcoholic Beverages. They all were released to a guardian.
