Glenview police say burglars will smash the window of a car, steal a purse and then pass forged checks from the far lane of a bank drive-through to avoid identification.

Burglars Break Into Two Homes Under Construction
A resident of the 800 block of Becker Road reported that someone broke into the house the night of Tuesday, Oct. 29, and stole tools worth more than $4,000, according to police. The general contractor for a home in the 1800 block of Wagner Road also reported that someone broke into that house the night of Tuesday, Oct. 29, and stole several tools and 14 faucets worth more than $8,000.
Police: Drunk Man Blew Red Light, Caused Car Crash With Injuries
Police say a 28-year-old Palatine man was arrested for driving drunk after he blew a red light and wound up in a traffic crash involving injuries at Willow Road and I-294 Friday, Nov. 1, at 10:52 p.m., according to police.
