GLENVIEW, IL — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

What: Patriotic Bike Parade
Where: Gallery Park, Glenview
When: July 3
Details: Show off your wheels and patriotic spirit! Bring your pre-decorated red, white and blue bikes, scooter and strollers to the center oval at Gallery Park (entrance at Navy Boulevard and Patriot Avenue. Join other festive bikers and parade around to patriotic music provided by Bach to Rock. Each participant will receive a red, white and blue flower lei. Afterwards, visitors can purchase shaved ice from the Kona Ice truck and enjoy the Bubble show presented by Twisticity. The parade is free and all ages are welcome to participate. Children ages 5 years and younger must have a parent walk with them during the parade

What: Reverse Parade
Where: Community Park West, 1001 Zenith Drive, Glenview
When: Noon, July 4
Details: Instead of having the traditional parade move on a set route past crowds of people, Glenview is going to do a reverse parade again this year. Residents can decorate their vehicles and visit Community Park West, where businesses, community groups and other local organizations will be setting up stationary "floats." Vehicles will be able to drive through to both see and become part of the parade. Tune in to WGBK 88.5 FM to stream red, white and blue from your speakers as you cruise through our reverse parade. What: Glenview State Bank and Busey Bank Twilight Fireworks
Where: Gallery Park, 2001 Patriot Blvd., Glenview
When: Evening of July 4
Details: The Glenview Park District is officially planning to host the annual fireworks show on July 4 at Gallery Park. Prior to the fireworks, scheduled for 9:15 p.m., there will be a DJ Dance Party from 5:30-9 p.m. Join the Park District for a magical fireworks show, which is a 26-minute display synchronized to music.
