GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Lavontae Allen, 29, of the 3700 block of Salem Walk, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended, and was arrested at 1:53 p.m. May 10 in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on D-bond and assigned a court date of May 28 in Skokie.
  • Tyreese Tart, 24, of the 300 block of S Maplewood Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, speeding, and was arrested at 2:09 a.m. May 13 in the 2700 block of Sanders Road. He was released on I-bond with a court date set for June 17 in Skokie.
  • Andrii Sokolan, 33, of the 1600 block of River Street, Des Plaines, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested following a report of a disabled vehicle at 8:29 p.m. May 16 in the 3000 block of Willow Road. He was released on bond and issued a court date of July 17 in Skokie.

FLEEING AND ELUDING

Syed Imam, 19, of the 2400 block of Seminary Avenue, Des Plaines, is accused of fleeing and eluding police, driving on a suspended license, speeding 35 miles over the speed limit, loud muffler, motor vehicle with registration covered, and was arrested at 9:32 p.m May 10 in the 2200 block of Patriot Boulevard. He was released on I-bond with a court date of May 28 in Skokie.

WARRANT ARREST

Bobby Hamilton, 39, of the 6700 block of N Summitt Drive, Byron, is accused of having an outstanding Stephenson County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear, and was arrested at 6:11 a.m. May 11 at Hangar Bar, 1100 Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $1,000 D-bond with a court date of June 6 at Stephenson County Courthouse.

BURGLARY

Arturo Arroyo, 44, of the 500 block of Manda Lane, Wheeling, is accused of having a warrant for burglary out of Glenview for an incident that occurred on Oct. 18 in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue and was arrested at 1:16 p.m. May 15 at the Wheeling Police Department, 1 Community Blvd. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of June 9 in Skokie.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

Margarita Zuniga, 36, of the 10000 block of Holly Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 1:32 p.m. May 16 at Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Ave. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of June 11 in Skokie.

INCIDENTS

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

  • A resident in the 1000 block of Hunter Road reported at 3:12 p.m. May 11 that between April 11 and May 11 someone forced entry through the rear door into their home. It is unknown if anything was taken at this time.
  • A resident in the 1800 block of Dewes Street called police at 3:23 p.m. May 17 to report someone forced entry into the front door of their residence. Reported loss is $3,000.

THEFT

  • A Carriage Hill Drive resident called police at 10:23 a.m. May 12 to report being the victim of a computer take-over scam on April 20. Between April 20 and May 7, someone attempted several transfers of her finances among several financial institutions. Reported loss is $15,000.
  • A resident of Grayslake reported at 5:57 p.m. May 12 the theft of jewelry sometime between April 29 and May 2 while they were in Glenview and Highland Park. Reported loss is $3,000.
  • A resident in the 2500 block of Waterview Drive called police at 3:56 p.m. May 13 to report the theft of a delivered package. Reported loss is $696.

BATTERY

An employee of a business in the 900 block of Harlem Avenue reported at 2:51 p.m. May 12 being pushed by a customer.

PERSONAL INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH

Glenview police responded to a crash involving a car and motorcycle at 6:14 p.m. May 12 in the intersection of East Lake Avenue and Shermer Road. The Glenview Fire Department transported the driver of the vehicle and the driver of the motorcycle to Lutheran General Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers on either vehicle. No charges have been filed at this time. The cause of the crash has yet to be determined. The crash remains under investigation by the Glenview Police Department with assistance from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force’s Major Crash Assistance Team. Read more here.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Michael Jang, 26, of the 2100 block of W Fletcher Street, Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended and expired registration following a traffic stop at 10:23 p.m. May 13 at Landwehr Road and Indian Ridge Drive. He was released on I-bond.
  • Rodrigo Trujillo, 37, of the 7300 block of N Damen Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving while license revoked, failure to wear a seatbelt and speeding following a traffic stop at 2:52 p.m. May 15 in the 500 block of East Lake Ave. He was released on an I-bond.
  • Cesar Aguilar, 20, of the 8200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, Skokie, is accused of driving while license suspended following a traffic stop at 4:52 p.m. May 15 in the 600 block of East Lake Ave. He was released on an I-bond.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Yen Lee, 21, of the 6000 block of N Winthrop Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving with no valid license and speeding following a traffic stop at 10:40 p.m. May 13 at East lake Avenue and Greenwood Road. He was released on I-bond.

FRAUD

A Knollwood Lane resident reported at 10:27 a.m. May 14 that on May 4 they received an anti-virus message on their computer with a request for gift cards to rid the virus. Total reported loss is $32,838.42.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A Basswood Circle resident called police at 1:03 p.m. May 15 to report someone filed a 2020 federal income taxes using their personal identifying information.
  • A Glenview Road resident reported at 5:33 p.m. May 15 someone opened a bank account using her identifying information.
  • An East Glenwood Road resident called police at 9:04 a.m. May 17 to report receiving notification of a cable account in their name, which they did not open. Reported loss is $586.
  • An Evergreen Terrace resident reported at 2:13 p.m. May 17 receiving notification from the Internal Revenue Service indicating someone used their information to file a false tax return.

ORDINANCE VIOLATION

Margarita Zuniga, 36, of the 10000 block of Holly Lane, Des Plaines, was issued village ordinance violations at 11:59 p.m. May 15 for dog running at large, failure to display tags on animals and a dangerous dog.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

  • The owner of a business in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 8:50 p.m. May 16 a fired employee arrived at the business after being told not to return.
  • The owner of a business in the 3100 block of West Lake Avenue called police at 10:38 a.m. May 17 to report sometime between May 15-16 someone tampered with exterior security cameras. Officers spoke with the person and gave them trespass notice.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

An employee at a residential complex reported at 2:01 p.m. May 17 that the occupant of a vehicle exited the vehicle and urinated next to it in the parking lot in the 600 block of Waukegan Road.
