Glenbrook North Students Gets Gourmet Kitchen
Glenbrook High School District 225 spent $110,000 to open the kitchen lab in fall 2012.

After two years of planning, Glenbrook High School District 225 converted a Glenbrook North High School classroom and opened a state-of-the-art kitchen in the fall of 2012, where students can learn culinary skills in a restaurant-style setting, Chicago Tribune reported.
The kitchen costs $110,000 to build and features stainless steel worktables, four ovens, commercial range, exhaust hood and one of the students and staff’s favorite feature—a camera set above one of the tables, which allows demonstrations to be projected onto a big screen, reducing the need for students to crowd around a table and making it easier for them to follow instructions, Chicago Tribune reported.
