Glenbrook Public Schools Closed Monday, Citing Extreme Cold

All Glenview public schools will shut down Monday due to bitter cold and wind chill in the forecast.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory in effect from 3 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, through 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. Wind chill values could fall below -30 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, according to the weather service.
Glenbrook South High School, Glenview Public School District 34, West Northfield School District 31, Northbrook/Glenview School District 30, Avoca School District 37 and East Maine School District 63 have all announced cancellations Monday. Other Glenview school closures announced by Sunday afternoon include Wesley Child Care Center and Children's Corner Learning Center.
