Glenview Dancer Featured in Gus Legacy’s Return to Stage
"That's Entertainment 2021" Features Professional and Pre-Professional Dancers in a Live Streamed Performance Saturday, May 8

Glenview Dancer Paige Zasada will be featured in the GUS LEGACY® return to stage performance “That’s Entertainment 2021,” live streamed Saturday, May 8 at 7 p.m. CDT.
Performed at The Edge Theater, 5451 N. Broadway, the show features professional and pre-professional dancers and the Gus Legacy Company performing Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theater and Tap pieces. Tickets for That’s Entertainment 2021 are $30 per household and are available for purchase on April 27. “We are thrilled to provide this performance opportunity and a sense of normalcy to support so many dancers whose work has been greatly diminished as a result of the pandemic,” said Executive Director Amy P. Giordano. “By blending, professional and pre-professional dancers in That’s Entertainment 2021 we’re able to cultivate a positive and inclusive environment true to the legacy of Gus Giordano, and we are so excited to give the in-house seating to our dancers as they are so deserving.”

The program will feature GUS teacher and most recently Giraffe and Hyena in Broadway’s Lion King, Sayiga Eugene Peabody, will perform “Miles & Miles,” “Steam Heat” and more in addition to Gus Giordano’s signature pieces “Sing Sing Sing” and “Steam Heat”, along with “Coming In Hot”, “Puttin’ On The Ritz”, “Hope” and “Work That Boogie Body!” (tribute piece to Jazzercise® Founder, Judi Sheppard Missett).
Featured professional performers include: Sarah Giordano Curran (Gus Giordano’s granddaughter), Morgan DiFonzo, Sayiga Eugene Peabody, Matt Pospeshil and Lauren Giordano Whittington (Gus Giordano’s granddaughter).

Featured pre-professional performers include: GG Company Dancers
GG Pre-Professional dancers are in high school and trained in every style to be prepared for any dance career. Dancers gain skills to prepare them for a successful future including communication skills, multitasking, teamwork, and leadership. Every dancer is a mentor and a role-model for younger dancers.
