Glenview Hosts Glenview Connect Open House

[GLENVIEW, Ill.—June 16, 2021—] – The Village of Glenview will host its third Glenview Connect Open House at the Glenview Park Center main lobby this Saturday, June 19 from 9 - 11 a.m. Glenview residents are encouraged to attend the in-person event to ask questions about and provide feedback on the draft plan. Residents can view the plan on the project website, www.GlenviewConnect.com, and have the ability to submit comments online if they cannot attend.

“We welcome community members to join Village Board members and the project team to learn more about the broad range of tools from the draft plan that Glenview can use to attract and retain businesses,” said Jeff Brady, director of community development for the Village of Glenview. “Whether you’ve lived here for decades or recently moved to the area, we value your thoughts on Glenview’s planning for the future and what improvements to Downtown Glenview and our commercial districts are needed.”

The Glenview Connect initiative was started in 2020 to connect the Village voices and visions as part of the ongoing Development Blueprint and Downtown Blueprint process to help guide revitalization of key Village corridors and districts. The plan utilizes targeted economic development strategies to ensure future opportunities to address a myriad of issues impacting the economic vitality of the Glenview community, and particularly its Downtown. The process has included data collection through public board workshops, community open houses and community-wide surveys. It is in the final stages with the Village Board reviewing the draft plan during its regularly scheduled July Board meetings prior to the plan’s adoption.
