Glenview Olympian, Brother Launch Foam Roller Water Bottle Company

Speed skater Brian Hansen and his brother, Steve, have started selling the bottles that double as a roller.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Just ask Glenview native Brian Hansen.

The Olympic speed skater got tired of lugging his water bottle and foam roller around with him everywhere, so he decided to combine them into one product — and then start selling it.

Hansen and his younger brother, Steve, an engineering major at the University of Wisconsin founded Bottlebark, according to an article in the Glenview Announcements. The bottles, which double as a foam roller that athletes use to massage muscles, went on sale earlier this month online and at Trek Bicycle Store in Highland Park.
