Glenview Park Foundation Donates $63K In Scholarships To Families
In 2020, the Foundation Board voted to increase contributions to support the community during the pandemic.

GLENVIEW, IL —Typically, the Glenview Park Foundation generously donates $10,000 in scholarships to the Glenview Park District's Leisureship Fund for families to participate in learning and recreational opportunities they otherwise could not afford. Because 2020 was anything but typical, the foundation opted to increase funding to $63,825.
The Foundation typically donates 10 percent of net operating income annually, capped at $10,000, to the Leisureship Fund, according to a news release. The Foundation Board voted to increase contributions last year.
Leisureship dollars allow families to afford programs such as Camp REC, a K-8 learning program offered by the Park District last year that provided full day programming and childcare services after accessible childcare options diminished due to the pandemic.
