Wagner Farm Celebrates the Beauty of Bacon
More than 15 restaurants served dishes inspired by the cured-meat at the inaugural Northshore Baconfest held on April 27 in Glenview.

Bacon-topped sundae, bacon-wrapped shrimp skewer and pork belly sliders were just some of the items people enjoyed during Wagner Farm's first inaugural Northshore Baconfest, which raised funds for Friends of Wagner Farm to help support programs, projects and events at the Glenview farm, Glenview Announcement reported.
Dana Kruger, owner of Skokie-based Sweety Pies Bakery, who also participated in the Baconfest held on April 27, created bacon-inspired deserts such as banana Elvis cake topped with bacon bits, and bacon and cheddar scones all month long in anticipation of the event, Glenview Announcement reported.
