A Glenview singer-songwriter is making waves in the music industry with her newest single.
GLENVIEW, IL – A Glenview singer-songwriter is making waves in the music industry with her newest single.
Glenview native Ally Nicholas, 22, has released two songs that are gaining interest from music labels. Nicholas currently lives in Los Angeles, and attended from Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Loyola Academy.
Nicholas is an alternative artist who grew up a fan of bands like Slipknot, Korn, Alice In Chains and My Chemical Romance. As self-described "fly in the milk," she described living her teen years with a sense of "disassociation," as she did not fit in well with her peers.

She attended the NYU Musics Business Program and withdrew to pursue her songwriting and singing career, eventually finding a home with indie studio Engine Room. In October, she released her debut single "Feels Like Dying."
Nicholas' newest song, "Warning Signs," is described as "an introspective look into the reality that is wanting to be with someone that is so horribly wrong for you." The song is co-written and produced by Ben Epand and draws inspiration from bands like Arctic Monkeys and The Neighbourhood.

Nicholas' managers, Danny and Joey Legittino, are graduates from Glenbrook South High School who are also living in Los Angeles pursuing a career in music.
