Lawmakers Explain Obamacare at Sunday Panel
State Sen. Daniel Biss, along with representatives Robyn Gabel and Laura Fine will be conducting an Affordable Care Act panel in Evanston on Sunday.

Enrollment is now open in the Health Insurance Marketplace created by the Affordable Care Act, often referred to as Obamacare.
Since it is a complex law and many have questions about how it will work, a group of legislators have scheduled a workshop and panel discussion on Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave., in Evanston.
From noon until 5 p.m., in-person counselors will meet one-on-one with anyone who has a question or is interested in enrolling for health care coverage. No appointment is necessary.
At 3 p.m., a panel will discuss health care policy and the current landscape in Washington, D.C. and Springfield. Scheduled panelists include state Sen. Daniel Biss, D-9th; state Reps. Robyn Gabel, D-18th, and Laura Fine, D-17th; Charles Watkins from the Office of the Governor; and a representative from U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky's office.
