League Of Women Voters Sponsors Housing Affordability Workshop

The League of Women Voters of Glenview/Glencoe (LWVGG) announces an educational workshop about housing affordability called “Affordable Housing 101”. The event, co-sponsored with JOINING FORCES for Affordable Housing, will take place on Zoom on Thursday, February 18 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The presenter, Sue Loellbach, is an expert on affordable housing needs in north suburban Cook County.

When asked about the goal of the workshop, Sue Swaringen, president of LWVGG, said, “It is time to engage in conversations about housing affordability and how it impacts our communities.” She added, “The role of the League has always been to educate and inform the public about important issues, and this workshop is a straightforward introduction to housing affordability. We invite everyone in the community to attend. The workshop will offer a broad regional view of housing affordability and cost burden and include data specific to Glenview.”
