GLENVIEW, IL - Charles R. <a href="http://chicago.suntimes.com/business/7/71/1321760/charles-chuck-boedicker-owned-landmark-glenview-dairy-bar-dead" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">"Chuck" Boedicker, the longtime owner of The Glenview Dairy Bar,</a> died last month at age 79 after a long battle with lung cancer.The Chicago Sun-Times highlights the life of Boedicker, a Glenview man since the 1960s and owner of the popular April-to-October ice cream stop since 1990. For many years, Boedlicker worked two jobs, having started his own local heating and air-conditioning business, Air Systems of Glenview. He was also active at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was a grand knight with the Knights of Columbus. Boedicker was married to his wife Janelle for 57 years.
