Longtime Glenview Dairy Bar Owner Dies

Chuck Boedicker also owned his Air Systems of Glenview. He was 79.

GLENVIEW, IL - Charles R. “Chuck” Boedicker, the longtime owner of The Glenview Dairy Bar, died last month at age 79 after a long battle with lung cancer.

The Chicago Sun-Times highlights the life of Boedicker, a Glenview man since the 1960s and owner of the popular April-to-October ice cream stop since 1990. For many years, Boedlicker worked two jobs, having started his own local heating and air-conditioning business, Air Systems of Glenview.

He was also active at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was a grand knight with the Knights of Columbus.

Boedicker was married to his wife Janelle for 57 years. His daughter, Luane Gabuzzi, operates the dairy bar now.
