RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Anthony T. Miller, 31, of the 1000 block of Holiday Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of having an active warrants out of Glenview for two residential burglaries, and was arrested at 10:02 a.m. April 7 by Des Plaines police. The warrants came from investigations that occurred on March 15 in the 2000 block of Glenview Road ad March 18 in the 3700 block of Cindy Lane. Miller was processed and released after posting a $100,000 bond. His next court date is May 6 in Skokie.

  • Brandon L. Degand, 26, of the 900 block of Wedel Lane, Glenview, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 5:57 p.m. April 7 following a hit-and-run motor vehicle investigation in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of April 27 in Skokie.
  • Clemente Neri Sanchez, 21, of the 100 block of Deborah Lane, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs or combination of drugs, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, no valid driver's license, speeding 21-25 mph over the limit, and was arrested at 8:19 p.m. April 12 in the 500 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of April 27 in Skokie.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY

Thomas D. Diaz, 41, of the 500 block of 5th Street, Northfield, is accused of having a warrant for attempted armed robbery, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm to a person 60 years of age or older, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (not a firearm), and was arrested at 10:31 p.m. April 7 in Northfield. The warrant comes from an investigation into an incident that occurred on Nov. 30, 2020, in the 1800 block of Glenview Road. Diaz was held for a bond hearing on April 9 in Skokie.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

Shea Glen Kormann, 30, of the 500 block of N St. Louis Avenue, Chicago, is accused of a number of charges stemming from a hit-and-run traffic accident on Golf Road and Waukegan Road, and was arrested at 10:11 p.m. April 8. The charges include:

  • leaving the scene of an accident - failure to report death or injury within 30 minutes
  • aggravated driving under the influence in a motor vehicle crash causing injury
  • resisting arrest of a peace officer
  • possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol
  • driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more
  • failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle
  • illegal transportation of alcohol
  • unlawful use of cannabis
  • possession of a controlled substance

Kormann was processed and taken to a bond hearing on April 10.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

Sanket Patel, 36, of the 9600 block of Golf Terrace, Des Plaines, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to yield, and was arrested at 4:34 p.m. April 10 after being involved in traffic accident that occurred in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Patel was released on bond and given a court date of May 12 in Skokie.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Yelytza Hernandez, 33, of the 10300 block of Michael Todd Terrace, Glenview, is accused of no driver's license, and was arrested at 4:34 p.m April 10 after being involved in a traffic accident that occurred in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Hernandez was released on bond and given a court date of May 12.

BOND FORFEITURE

Jacal C. Caldwell, 30, of the 2100 block of South Harding Avenue, Chicago, is accused of having a warrant for bond forfeiture, and was arrested at 6:28 p.m. April 11 by Chicago police. She was transported to the Glenview Police Department, processed, and held for a bond hearing on April 12 at the Skokie Courthouse.

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS

Tyrese R. Guerrier, 19, of the 3600 block of Main Street, Skokie, is accused of possession of cannabis more than 30 grams but less than 100 grams, possession of cannabis as a passenger, and was arrested at 9:20 p.m. April 11 in the 2500 block of Glenview Road. He posted a $2,500 bond and was assigned a court date of May 14 in Skokie.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A resident in the 100 block of Waukegan Road reported at 11:34 a.m. April 6 someone damaged their vehicle. Total reported loss is $1,440.
  • A hotel manager in the 1800 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 12:22 p.m. April 8 to report a guest pushed a sliding glass door off its track. Total reported loss is unknown at this time.
  • A resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane reported at 11:04 p.m. April 12 someone broke the windshield to their vehicle with a rock sometime over the last 24 hours. Total reported loss is $350.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

A resident in the 2400 block of Indian Ridge Road called police at 2:13 p.m. April 6 to report someone forced open their front door and ransacked multiple rooms. Total reported loss is unknown at this time.

BATTERY

A resident in the 400 block of 4th Street reported at 10:15 p.m. April 6 being pushed down by an acquaintance after a confrontation.

HARASSMENT THROUGH ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICE

  • A resident in the 3400 block of Winnetka Road called police at 12:23 p.m. April 7 to report receiving unwanted text messages from tenants of a property they own in Chicago.
  • A resident in the 3200 block of Maple Leaf Drive reported at 12:35 p.m. April 8 receiving unwanted text and email messages.

THEFT

A resident in the 1500 block of Brandon Road reported at 2:51 p.m. April 7 someone removed the catalytic converter from their vehicle during the overnight hours. Total reported loss is $500.

COMPUTER FRAUD

A resident in the 3500 block of Winnetka Road called police at 11:35 a.m. April 9 to report receiving a telephone call from whom they thought was a Chase Bank employee. The resident was convinced to wire transfer $58,800 in two transactions to Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited. Chase Bank reversed the loss after it was discovered to be fraudulent.

ORDINANCE VIOLATION

A resident in the 2500 block of Glenview Road was issued a Village of Glenview ordinance citation for no open burning at 8:26 p.m. April 9 after a refused complainant reported a large bonfire in the area.

IDENTITY THEFT

A resident in the 0-100 block of Beverly Lane reported at 9:32 a.m. April 10 someone opened a cable account using their personal information in January 2020.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

  • A Glenview Park District ambassador reported at 5:10 p.m. April 10 someone damaged a window to the Ladendorf Park clubhouse, 2541 Harrison St. Estimated cost of damage $500.
  • A resident in the 2100 block of Chestnut Avenue called police at 11:56 p.m. April 10 to report someone broke a window to a vehicle with a rock. Approximate loss is $300.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT

A Glenview Park District ambassador called police at 5:10 p.m. April 12 to report someone used black spray paint to write phrases on the concrete at the Community Park West skate park, 1001 Zenith Drive. Total reported loss is $100.

BURGLARY FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 2100 block of Dewes Street reported at 8:35 a.m. April 12 someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway during the overnight hours. No reported loss at this time.
  • A resident in the 2000 block of Avalon Court called police at 9:55 a.m. April 12 to report two unlocked vehicles parked on the driveway during the overnight hours. No reported loss at this time.
