Obituary: ​Geraldine 'Geri' Horak, 81

Geraldine “Geri” Horak née Harris, passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 81 on Friday, Dec. 8.

She is being remembered as the loving wife of Edwin M. Horak, the beloved mother of Diane Silha, Steven Horak and Tootsie, the proud "bubbie" of Joseph, Meirav, Cameron and Ellie, the dear sister of Marvin (Sheila Auspitz) Harris and the late Philip ''Pinky'' Harris, Edward (Lillian) Harris, Tessie (Bill) Marcus, Milton (Bernice) Harris, Irving ''Lolly'' (Renee) Harris and Rosalie (Leonard) Kozak.

A service has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd, Skokie. Interment Waldheim Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Torah Learning Center of Northbrook.
