PHOTOS: Demolition Underway On Former Glenview Police Station

The old police station at 1215 Waukegan Rd. is being demolished to make way for a new fire station.

A bulldozer has already begun razing the former Glenview Police Station at 1215 Waukegan Rd., to make way for a new fire station.

Trustees recently approved $6.3 million in funding for the new headquarters for fire station six, which will have room for three vehicle bays and nine firefighter bunks. 

Glenview's village hall is located next door to site of the new fire station, at 1225 Waukegan Rd., and may also be up for some changes soon. Trustees are considering moving village hall to the police station at 2500 E. Lake Ave., which would be renovated and expanded.
