Shoplifting Duo Tag Teams Bag of Pilfered Goods
In a separate incident, someone knocked over a home's basketball hoop, threw a flower pot in the pushes and placed a rock behind the car.

Retail Theft
An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Rd. said that at 5:45 p.m. July 25 a entered the store and took out a red bag from beneath his pants. He filled the bag with merchandize and left the bag and items in the store. A short time later a second male entered the store and took the red bag and the merchandize and left the store without paying. The estimated loss is over $500. The same incident occurred later in the evening involving the same subjects and the estimated loss was over $1,000.

Harassment by Telephone
A resident reported they had several phone messages from unknown people asking why the resident’s phone number is on their caller I.D. One caller left a harassing message. The resident does not know why their phone number showed up on the caller IDs.

Disorderly Conduct
A resident of the 600 block of Spring Rd. reported July 28 that sometime overnight someone tipped over a free-standing basketball hoop, tossed a flower pot into bushes and placed a large rock behind their vehicle parked on their driveway.
Criminal Damage to Property
An employee at a business in the 2200 block of Golf Rd. reported that between 5 and 8 p.m. July 27 someone broke a window on the business’ van, causing $2,500 in damage.
Forgery
An employee of a business in the 1900 block of Tower Dr. reported that between 3 and 4:20 p.m. July 27, three females and one male made several separate purchases using forged checks. The suspects also returned merchandize for cash obtained at a Lombard store using the same forged checks. The estimated loss is over $2,000.
Criminal Damage to Property
A complainant reported three teens broke the glass protecting a fire extinguisher in the parking garage at 2701 Aviator Ln. at 7 p.m. July 28. The teens were not located but the broken case was found near the ramp leading to the upper parking deck. The estimated loss is $100.
Disturbance
Officers responded to a report of a fight at a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road at 1:45 a.m. July 23. A patron of the business refused to leave when asked. They left upon the arrival of police and were given a trespass warning.
Harassment by Telephone
A resident reported receiving harassing telephone calls from an unknown male claiming to be from the IRS for the past few months. The unknown offender has a “Nigerian” accent and is tells the resident they owe money for taxes.
Criminal Damage to Property
The complainant reported that between 7 a.m. and noon on July 23, an unknown person scratched the hood and passenger side front fender of their sibling’s vehicle while it was parked in the lot of the 1700 block of Greenwood Road or the 2800 block of Patriot Boulevard causing $600 in damage. No offender information is available.
Criminal Damage to Property
An employee of a business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue, reported that someone carved on a mirror and on the dryers in the men’s washroom. The estimated damage is $300.
Theft
The complainant reported on July 21, someone stole their cellphone from Flick Park Pool. Estimated loss is $700.
