Teddie Kossof Salon Spa's Glenview Location Set to Open Inside Avidor Glenview, and a Pet Adoption Event is Planned

(Glenview) – One after another, projects delayed by the global pandemic are beginning to take shape. The grand opening of a new Teddie Kossof Salon Spa in Glenview is planned for the evening of Thursday, July 15, 2021.

The salon spa’s location inside Avidor Glenview, located at 650 Waukegan Road in Glenview, was originally scheduled for early 2020, but had to be delayed for safety reasons. Avidor Glenview is a 55+ active adult community.

“We are so excited to finally be able to offer this amenity to our residents. It has been a long time in coming,” said Cortney Malinowski, Avidor Glenview’s Community Director.

A grand opening celebration will take place on Thursday, July 15, 2021, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. with the ribbon cutting ceremony planned for 5 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, will feature champagne, appetizers, and door prizes, as well as an opportunity for guests to try out some of the services that will be offered, including chair massages and mini manicures. Tours of the community will also be available.

Dignitaries expected to attend are Teddy and Alan Kossof, the co-owners of Teddie Kossof Salon Spa, Jimmy Place, the company’s Director of Corporate & Community Relations, and members of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce.

Initially, the salon will only serve residents of Avidor Glenview two days a week. It will be opening to seniors who live outside the community in the coming months. According to Teddie Kossof Salon Spa management, the intent for this location is to cater to residents who are 55 plus only.

Also planned for July at Avidor Glenview is a pet adoption event in partnership with Wright Way Rescue of Morton Grove. On Thursday, July 22, 2021, between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., the organization will bring an assortment of dogs and puppies, cats and kittens to Avidor Glenview’s outdoor courtyard.

People can pre-register to adopt so that they can physically leave with their new friend on the day of the event, or they can initiate the adoption process at the event.
