Terra Sounds Offering Virtual Music Lessons

Students and neighbors of the Glenview - based music company may have noticed the vacant building and "For Rent" sign where they used to be, but rest assured, Terra Sounds is still offering lessons to students of all ages and levels who are interested in signing up.

For those who are seeking to make their daily routine more exciting, find a creative outlet, or learn some tunes, Terra Sounds is now providing a convenient, cost-effective way of doing so!

Students have become comfortable with eLearning, and some have started up in-home lessons again, taking all the proper precautions.

The virtual learning format in particular is doing well for the staff and students as they have a second virtual recital coming up! Recitals occur every other month, and everyone is invited to attend.

"We hope that you are staying healthy and safe! Our teachers are here for you and will be coming straight to you, virtually or in -person," said co -founder Matvey Kostukovsky.

Having gone mostly virtual, Terra Sounds can now offer the expertise of Chicagoland’s top music and arts instructors to students all across the country, as well as internationally. Likewise, the students who were enrolled before the pandemic hit were able to continue their education uninterrupted via online lessons.

Another benefit of the new approach is the added convenience and scheduling flexibility for students and teachers. Neither party has to deal with the hassle of driving to and from lessons if the lesson is virtual, which can mean more time for playing or listening to music! Teachers are able to schedule more lessons, and students get to learn great tunes from their own cozy couches.

"Students can work through a variety of online note-reading, music theory, and rhythm exercises under the teacher’s guidance via screen sharing, which greatly enhances the effectiveness of lessons and helps create a well-rounded learning experience," according to co-founder Andrey Ash.
