Village Employees Report Criminal Damage At Properties: Blotter
There were a number of reports regarding damage at village facilities around Glenview: Glenview Police Blotter.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Fernando N. Mendoza, 37, of the 800 block of 8th Street, Northfield, is accused of battery, retail theft, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested at 4:15 p.m. April 14 following an investigation in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of May 25 in Skokie.

- Valentina Dix, 28, of the 1000 block of Parkwood Avenue, Park Ridge, is accused of driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 5:32 p.m. April 14 in the 3700 block of Central Road after an investigation of a driving complaint. She was released after posting bond and assigned a court date of May 28 in Skokie.
- Carl Munski, 75, of the 2800 block of Central Street, Evanston, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, and was arrested at 10:44 p.m. April 16 following a well-being check in the 500 block of Waukegan Road. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of May 28 in Skokie.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
Erin S. O'Donnell, 44, of the 4000 block of Kolmar Avenue, Chicago, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper turn, and was arrested at 3:16 a.m. April 15 in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard. She was held for a bond hearing on April 15 in Skokie.
SPEEDING
Sufyan Patel, 26, of the 8100 block of W Strong, Norridge, is accused of speeding more than 35 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 7:09 p.m. April 16 in the 9900 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond and assigned a court date of May 28 in Skokie.
SUSPENDED DRIVER'S LICENSE
Stacy Perry, 45, of the 1900 block of Darrow Avenue, Evanston, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested at 9:12 p.m. April 18 following an investigation into a traffic crash the prior day. She was released on bond and assigned a court date of May 11 in Skokie.

THEFT BY DECEPTION
A Franklin Drive resident reported receiving an email from whom they believed was a longtime friend asking for two $100 Google gift cards to give to a niece for a birthday gift. The resident bought the gift cards and emailed the friend the gift card numbers. The resident later learned the friend’s email had been hacked by someone in Nairobi Kenya. The resident’s credit card company was contacted and was told of three unauthorized charges made in California. The credit card company reversed the charges and there is no reported loss at this time.
THEFT
- A resident in the 1900 block of Chestnut Avenue called police at 9:50 a.m. April 13 to report someone stole their electric bicycle. The bicycle is black with a neon green chain lock around the frame. Total reported loss is $1,300.
- An Apple iPhone was reported stolen at 7:27 p.m. April 15 in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue. Total reported loss is $500.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO STATE SUPPORTED PROPERTY
- A door handle was found broken off the stairwell door on the upper level of the Aviator parking garage at 8:58 a.m. April 15 at 2701 Aviator Lane. The total reported loss is $150.
- It was discovered at 8:26 a.m. April 16 that someone set off a fire extinguisher in the stairwell of the Sable parking garage, 2701 Sable Drive. The clear plastic cover to the box was damaged also. Total reported loss is $100.
- It was reported at 1:32 p.m. April 15 that concrete seating blocks were reported damaged at Sleepy Hollow Park, 1821 Maplewood Lane. Total reported loss is $200.
- Employees from the Village of Glenview Public Works department reported at 8:25 a.m. April 19 damage to fire extinguisher boxes, fire extinguishers and stairwells in the parking garages at 2701 Sable Drive and 2701 Aviator Lane. Reported total loss of $1,075. Complaints will be signed.
- Glenview Park District employees called police at 1:31 p.m. April 19 to report damage to a door handle, a soap dispenser and fire lane-tow zone sign at Westbrook School, 1333 Greenwood Road. Reported loss of $320.
BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
A resident in the 2200 block of Dewes Street reported at 1:03 p.m. April 15 that someone entered their unlocked vehicle sometime between April 10-15. Personal property was stolen. Total reported loss is $60.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT SUPPORTED PROPERTY
- A person called police at 11:03 a.m. April 17 to report someone spray-painted on two cement blocks on the bridge in the 1700 block of Grove St. Total reported loss is $50.
- Glenview Park District employees reported at 1:42 p.m. April 17 damage to the Swenson Park shelter, 901 Shermer Road. Reported loss is $200.
FORGERY
A Wagner Road resident called police at 10:30 a.m. April 19 to report several checks from his personal checking account were forged and cashed without his authorization. Reported loss of $4455.79.
RETAIL THEFT
Stephanie Daddono, 32, of the 610o block of W School Street, Chicago, was cited at 11:56 a.m. April 19 for theft of property after leaving the Von Maur, 1960 Tower Drive, with property she did not pay for.
