Village Awards $1.9M Road Resurfacing Bid To Arrow
The project includes the resurfacing of approximately 3.5 miles of roadways, consisting of 17 street sections and one alley, in Glenview.
GLENVIEW, IL — As the weather continues to improve, more and more road projects will be started and completed in the coming months. At its latest meeting Tuesday night, the Glenview Village Board awarded a contract for $1,974,294 to Arrow Road Construction Co. for the 2021 road resurfacing program, which includes 3.5 miles of roadway, and 10,000 square yards of resurfacing through the annual Minor Area Repair Strategy program.
The approximate starting date of construction is slated to begin on July 15 and be completed by Sept. 24.
Arrow, an Elk Grove Village company, won the bid over three other companies: J.A. Johnson, of Arlington Heights; 3 Builders Paving LLC, of Hillside; and 4 Peter Baker and Son Company, of Lake Bluff.

Village Employees Report Criminal Damage At Properties
Arrow was the lowest bidder with a bid price of $1,794,812.92. Staff recommends awarding this project to Arrow in the amount of $1,974,294.00, which includes a 10 percent contingency, according to the meeting's consent agenda. The project funding was approved by the Village Board during the fiscal year 2021 capital improvement plan budget hearings.

The following street sections are planned for asphalt resurfacing in 2021:
- Pynsky Road (from Potter Road to East End)
- Crescent Lane (from West End to Potter Road)
- Saratoga Lane (from Monterey Drive to Kittyhawk Lane)
- Cabot Lane (from Saratoga Lane to Monterey Drive)
- Monterey Drive (from West Lake Avenue to Independence Avenue)
- Summit Drive (from Aberdeen Drive to Westleigh Drive)
- Brush Hill Lane (from Summit Drive to Westleigh Drive)
- Westleigh Drive South Circle (from Westleigh Drive to Waukegan Road)
- Wilmette Avenue (from West End to Leclair Avenue)
- Ardmore Avenue (from Long Road to West End)
- Dale Street (from Long Road to West End)
- Long Road (from Old Glenview Road to South CDS)
- Brook Lane (from Harms Road to South End)
- Brandon Road (from Forest Avenue to Burton Terrace)
- Woodlawn Avenue (from Waukegan Road to Sunset Ridge Road)
- Hollywood Avenue (from Topp Lane to Sunset Ridge Road)
- Depot Street Commuter Lot (from Concrete Pavement to 1234 Depot Street)
- Spruce Street & East and West Alley (from Glenview Road to Dewes Street)
- MARS Asphalt (various locations)
The Board also approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Wilmette to pay half of the cost of improvements to Wilmette Avenue.
