Where are all the B-1 Filings for Glenview Committees?
The State of Illinois requires that 'Independent Expenditures' in support of a campaign be filed within 2 days of the expenditure!!

Let there be light!
I have had the good fortune to have been involved in political campaigns for nearly 40 years. I am now 52 years old, so that is saying something. I have run for office (25th State Rep District, Missouri, 1992) and gotten wiped out; more recently, I ran unopposed for the Glenview Community Consolidated School District #34 Board in 2019. I am honored to serve and hope to continue to serve my community.
A Chicago Alderman once asked me in a business meeting with dozens of his colleagues standing by whether I was wearing a wire. At the moment, it was a startling question; he must have thought I was FBI or was otherwise undercover. I stood up and offered to be searched. I was a corporate construction executive for Target Corp at the time. Several weeks later, he asked me the same question; this time, he and I were alone; I was sure that I had become baptized by Chicago politics.

For reasons that may be obvious, the State of Illinois has some of the most strict candidate filing, election, and campaign laws in the United States. For example, if you don't bind your nominating petitions just right, bound in just the right way, you could and likely will be bounced off the ballot. Some folks just like to gum up the proverbial government works.
Likewise, independent campaign expenditures over $1,000 within 60 days of an election day are required to be filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections within 2 days of the expenditure. Fines for non-compliance can run $5,000 per violation.
