In addition, deputies arrested two people for driving under the influence of alcohol and issued eight citations for driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license. Fifty-four tickets for speeding were also handed out.

According to a Lake County Sheriff's Office news release, the Illinois’ 2020 seat belt compliance rate was 94.6 percent. But unbelted occupants still account for over half of those killed in traffic crashes.
