A lawsuit has been filed against a trio of teenagers who police say are to blame for a Round Lake Beach cell phone robbery that turned deadly this past spring.
The suit seeks damages that lawyers say 43-year-old Trinidad Javier Bueno Sanchez , of North Chicago, would have been able to pursue if he had survived the incident, according to a Chicago Tribune report. Sanchez was allegedly duped during the April 24 meetup when trying to sell his phone. Thereafter, he was fatally dragged by a car that one of the suspects was driving.

The civil lawsuit names Courtney A. Sherman, 18, of Fox Lake, the two other girls facing charges in the case, as well as the parents of the latter two girls, who are reportedly from Lakemoor and Ingleside.
Sanchez's family members are seeking restitution for their suffering and compensation for incurred expenses, such as burial and attorney costs, the Tribune story says.
