In doubles all three women's tennis teams won their matches against MATC, concluding a dual meet season with several doubles matches this season being decided by match tiebreakers, with the Lancers falling short in more than hoped. But today the Lancers doubles teams prevailed.

At number one doubles Carly Burgeson and Haley Quick won 7-5, 6-2 to bring their record to 2-4. At number two doubles Nicole Miclat and Anjie Rodgriguez beat MATC 6-1, 6-2 concluding their dual match season with a 2-4 record. At number three doubles, freshmen Kaylie Smith and Nicole Tomas won their match by default, to bring their record to 2-4.

Freshmen Ellie Kiscellus and Ali Greissinger round out the CLC women's tennis roster. They gained valuable experience in matches and practice. Redshirt sophomores Jen Blake, Kenisha Stricklin, and Breeza Servin are hoping to add to the CLC women's tennis team next season.

Next for the women's tennis team is the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region IV regional tennis tournament, to be held this coming Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10, at Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL. This tournament will conclude the fall women's tennis season for the Lancers. A top finish in the regional tournament would earn the team a trip to the NJCAA National Tennis Tournament in May, 2021. The CLC women's tennis team last competed in the NJCAA National tournament in the spring of 2019, after finishing first in the 2018 Region IV regional tournament.
