Driver Killed In Christmas Eve Crash On Belvidere Road
An SUV collided with a car late Sunday night on West Belvidere Road.
ROUND LAKE, IL — A two-vehicle crash late Christmas Even claimed a life in Round Lake on West Belvidere Road. Another person was injured. Sheriff's deputies and firefighters responded to the crash at 10:30 p.m.
An SUV and a four-door automobile collided in the 27900 block of West Belvidere Road near Round Lake, according to the Wauconda Fire District. The SUV smashed into the side of the car, penetrating the vehicle by 3 feet, according to the fire district, and killing the driver of the car.
The SUV driver was taken to Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. The driver's injuries were not life threatening. The Lake County sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
