Drug Dealer Busted With 3 Kilos Of Cocaine: Police
The Lake Villa man faces several felony charges following his arrest last week.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 38-year-old Lake Villa man is behind bars on a $750,000 bail after authorities found nearly three kilograms of cocaine and a semi-automatic gun in his apartment last week, authorities said.
Anthony L. Brown, a known street gang member, was arrested Friday after the Lake County Sheriff's Office special investigations group detectives searched his apartment in the 100 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in Lake Villa, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Brown is charged with manufacturing/delivery of more than 900 grams of cocaine, a class X felony; unlawful possession of more than 900 grams of cocaine, a class X felony; and felon in possession of a firearm, a class 2 felony, according to police.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also assisted in the investigation.

“We have zero tolerance for those who traffic drugs in our community," said Lake County Sheriff John Idleburg. "This case was the culmination of great teamwork between the members serving in our Special Investigations Group and our federal partners, which will prevent nearly three kilos of cocaine from making it into our community.”
