The Fastest Boston Marathon Finisher from Grayslake Is ...

Several area runners have accomplished the daunting task of finishing the Boston Marathon. On Monday, April 16, more than 30,000 runners took off from Hopkinton and traveled 26.2 miles to Boston.

Kenyan runner Geoffrey Kirui won the marathon with a time of 2:09:37 while Edna Kiplagat, also from Kenya, won the women's race with a time of 2:21.52.

David Meyer was the fastest runner to cross the finish line from Grayslake with a time of 3:36.44, according to unofficial results.
