Fox Lake Police Watching For Drunk Drivers, Unbuckled Passengers
The Fox Lake Police Department is participating in the holiday 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' enforcement campaign through this date.
FOX LAKE, IL — Fox Lake Police Department crews are cracking down on impaired and unbuckled drivers through Thursday, Jan. 2. According to several reports, the department is participating in the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" enforcement campaign, after there were 285 drunken-driving-related fatalities throughout the 2018 Christmas and New Year's holidays, which was more than any other time that year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System.
