Freight Train Runs Into Car in Grayslake
No one was injured during the Monday collision.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — No one was injured when a train slammed into a stalled car in Grayslake this past week, authorities told the Lake County News-Sun. The woman who was driving the car told police she was headed south on Route 83 when her vehicle stalled while crossing the railroad tracks near Route 83 and 137.
A Canadian National freight train hit the car as it rolled through, according to the article. The woman was able to walk away from the incident without any injuries.
