GRAYSLAKE, IL —From fresh veggies to a variety of homemade salsas to organic berries grown at nearby farms, farmers markets have returned or will be back up and running soon.

We've included a round up of area farmers market, and when each opens, below (be sure to click on the links for more info on vendors, parking options, COVID restrictions and more):

LAKE COUNTY

  • Buffalo Grove Farmers Market, Mike Rylko Community Park, 951 McHenry Road, Buffalo Grove. The market returns June 13 and runs 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. every Sunday.
  • Deerfield Farmers Market, Park Avenue between Jewett Park Drive and Hazel Avenue, Deerfield. The market returns June 12 and runs from 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. every Saturday through Oct. 9.
  • Ravinia Farmers Market, Jens Jensen Park, 486 Roger Williams Ave., Highland Park. The market returns June 2 and runs from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. every Wednesday through Oct. 27.
  • Grayslake Farmers Market, corner of Center and Whitney streets, Grayslake. The market returns on June 2 and runs from 3 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday through Sept. 22.
  • Libertyville Farmers Market, Cook Park and West Church Street, Libertyville. The market returns on Thursday, June 3, and runs from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 21.
  • Vernon Hills Park District Farmers Market, south end of Century Park, Lakeview and Hawthorn parkways, Vernon Hills. The market returns on June 17 and runs from 3 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 14.
  • Barrington Farmers Market, Park Avenue and Cook Street, Barrington. The market returns on June 17 and runs every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m.through Oct. 21.
  • Lake Zurich Farmers Market, Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich. The market returns on June 4 and runs every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. through Sept. 10.

MCHENRY COUNTY

  • Crystal Lake Farmers Market, Depot Park, downtown Crystal Lake next to the Metra station. The market returns on Saturday, June 5, and runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 25.
  • Cary Farmers Market, 100 West Main St., Cary. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday in June through September.
  • Dole Mansion Open Air Farmers Market, 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake. The market gets underway on June 6 and runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday through Sept. 26.
  • Woodstock Farmers Market, Woodstock Square, 121 W. Van Buren St., Woodstock. The popular farmers market is currently open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with plans to run through October. The Tuesday market starts June 1 and runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through September.
  • Downtown Algonquin Pop-Up Farmers Market, Riverbottom Ice Cream Company, Main and Washington streets, Algonquin. The market is underway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday through Oct. 31.
