Grayslake Artists Sell Art In Their Garages This Weekend

Three Grayslake artists are inviting residents to stop by and check out their art.

GRAYSLAKE, IL — Three Grayslake artists will be opening up their garages this Saturday and inviting residents in to peruse their art, the Daily Herald is reporting. The creative move by colored pencil artist Phil Schorn, photographer Ernest J. Schweit and watercolor artist Jim Brooksher is meant to give art lovers a chance to see their work amid a time when art fairs have been halted and people are continuing to be urged to keep their distance from others.

"Art in the Garage" will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the artists' respective garages:

  • Schweit's address: 1189 Blackburn Drive
  • Brooksher's address: 388 Kerry Way
  • Schorn's address: 1494 Leeward Court
