The Grayslake Arts Alliance presents their spring show, From Shadows to Sunlight.
The virtual show will feature the work of numerous GAA member artists and will be titled “From
Shadows to Sunlight,” a theme meant to reflect optimism in the battle against COVID-19, said
Jennifer Evans, events committee chairman.
“With everyone still feeling this hopeful but mild anxiety as we still operate under the pandemic
guidelines, we polled the GAA members on the title of the show. Many wonderful suggestions
came through and ultimately, the GAA Board of Trustees broke a 2-way tie.”

Like a similar event earlier this year, the GAA is partnering on the spring show with
3DRoomScapes and the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum.
Visitors will access the show through the GAA website, www.grayslakeartsalliance.org . With a
single click of their computer mouse, visitors will be transported to a virtual representation of
the Heritage Center community room; there one can literally move from piece to piece.
To make a purchase, one can simply click a tag that will appear on each piece; buyers will be
moved to a checkout page on the GAA website. The spring show drew more than 300 visitors in three days, said GAA President Paul Price.

The show will open at 8 a.m. March 19 and close 11:59 p.m. on March 21.
A portion of sales from both events will help the GAA, a registered 501(c)(3) charity, bring the
arts to Grayslake through education, participation and development.
