Grayslake Baby Is First Born At Condell In New Year
Baby boy Canniff has two brothers and was born at 12:05 a.m. on Jan. 1. His parents are Bridget and John Canniff of Grayslake.

GRAYSLAKE, IL —The first baby to arrive in 2021 at Advocate Condell Medical Center was born just five minutes after the clock struck midnight to a Grayslake couple.
Bridget and John Canniff of Grayslake are "excited to be starting the New Year off with a bundle of joy." Baby boy Canniff, whose name has not bet been determined, was born at 12:05 a.m. on Jan. 1. He was six pounds, 11 ounces and 18 inches, according to information provided by Advocate Aurora Health.

The Canniffs have two other children, Emmett, 5, and Dean, 2.
Another local baby, Avery Gonzalez, was the first child to be born at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge in the New Year. She was born early and weighed 3 pounds, 3 ounces.

Her parents, Angelica Gonzalez and Andrew Spence, live in Mundelein. Avery was born at 1:04 a.m. on Jan. 1.
