Grayslake Family Picnic & Fireworks: Your Guide To The Fun
The Taste of Grayslake Family Picnic and Fireworks kicks off this Saturday, June 26 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — If you're looking for something fun to do with the entire family this weekend, then look no further! The Taste of Grayslake Family Picnic and Fireworks will be held this Saturday, June 26 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The event will take place at Central Park, which is at 250 Library Lane in Grayslake. Parking will be available at Grayslake Central High School and Grayslake Middle School.

- Live music from vinyl Gold Mine (5-7 p.m.) and GOOROOS (7:30-9:30 p.m.)
- Local food vendors
- Beer and wine
- Kids carnival rides
- Fireworks at dusk
For the first time, families will also be able to rent a 10-foot by 10-foot tent. For residents concerned over social distancing, this will allow them to secure a spot to relax with their families and friends while also avoiding the sun.
Speaking of the sun, though, if you do go, you may want to keep an umbrella handy. According to the National Weather Service, showers are likely and could include thunderstorms. The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 81. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Social distancing is expected, according to the Grayslake Park District. Face coverings will be required when in line for food, drinks, restrooms, rides, and whenever social distancing cannot be maintained.
