Grayslake North Band Marching In NYC Veterans Day Parade

GRAYSLAKE, IL -- The Grayslake North Marching Knights will be performing in Sunday's Veterans Day parade in New York City. Randi Smith, whose son, Jason, is a freshman percussionist, told Patch the Marching Knights left for New York this past week. In addition to marching in the parade, the band also performed in Time Square Friday afternoon, Smith wrote in an e-mail.

"...this is an amazing experience for him and all these amazing kids," Smith wrote.

The parade will air online at Military.com. The parade steps off at 11:15 a.m. Eastern time.
