Grayslake School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Grayslake is August 10. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Grayslake Community High School District 127 has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 10/5: Evening Parent-Teacher Conferences
• 10/6: No School for Students (Parent-Teacher Conferences)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)

November

• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/13: No Late Start
• 12/19 - 12/29: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/3: School Resumes
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Day)

February

• 2/16: No School for Students (Institute Day)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents Day)

March

• 3/26 - 3/30: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/2: School Resumes

May

• 5/2: No Late Start
• 5/4: Half Day for Students (Inservice)
• 5/9: No Late Start
• 5/16: No Late Start
• 5/18: Last Day of School
• 5/21 - 5/25: Emergency Days (If Needed)
