Lake Co. DOT Has 'Full Snow Crew' On Roads

It's Halloween day and the Lake County Division of Transportation will be out in full force, working to keep snow and slush off the roads.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — It's Halloween and the snow plows are officially out on area roads. The Lake County Division of Transportation reported that about one inch of slush was on roadways as of early Thursday morning, according to a Facebook post at about 7 a.m.

With three to five inches of snow in the forecast this Halloween, the local DOT has a "full snow crew out on the roads," according to the Facebook post.

The Lake County PASSAGE website has updates on area crashes, roadways conditions, delays due to roadwork as well as photos from the road from snowplow drivers. Lake County officials are urging residents to check the website for updates throughout the day.
