LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Health Department is asking residents to check their spam and junk folders to make sure they do not miss any important e-mails about vaccine appointments.
Hundreds of thousands of residents have registered through the county's AllVax system. The health department is encouraging all residents to add allvax@communications-lakecohealth.org to their safe sender list to ensure e-mails aren't routed to their spam folder.
If you aren't signed up for AllVax e-mails you can do so here. The Lake County AllVax Portal asks residents to answer a few screening questions to register to be ready when they qualify to receive a vaccine.
To see if you are eligible for the vaccine and other pertinent vaccination news head to the health department's website.
Other online resources to help you track down a vaccine include:
- The state of Illinois' Vaccination Locator Map
- ILVaccine.org updates its website to reflect open appointments in Chicago's collar counties
- VaccineFinder.org allows you to search for COVID-19 vaccine by ZIP code and vaccine manufacturer
