Malls Offer Free Selfies With Easter Bunny
COVID but the brakes on bunny visits last year. But the bunny is back this year for socially-distant visits and photos.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — While many protocols still remain in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, this Easter will look a bit more normal than last year's holiday.
Last year, the state was on lockdown and malls, as well as most other businesses, were closed. This meant the typical visits with the Easter Bunny, and the photo to go along with it, did not happen for many.
But this year, many malls will again have a bunny on hand. Here is a look at what some area malls will be offering:

Bunny Photo Experience At Woodfield Mall
Woodfield Mall, 5 Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg: The Easter Bunny will be at the mall from March 17 through April 3, and you can book your bunny photo reservation today. Walk-up visits will be accepted as time allows between reservations and all visitors must wear a mask. The Easter bunny and his (or her) helpers will also be wearing masks — but the bunny's mask will be "concealed," according to a Woodfield Mall news release.

Selfies With The Bunny At Hawthorn Mall
Hawthorn Mall, 122 Hawthorn Center: Families can reserve a spot now to get a free selfie with the Easter Bunny when he visits Hawthorn Mall on March 28. He will be located in the spring garden in H&M Court from noon to 2 p.m., and reservations can be made here. The first 100 children to visit with the bunny will get a bunny headband and gift bag containing a do-it-yourself craft. Everyone 2 years old and older is asked to wear a mask. In addition to bunny photos, anyone can visit the spring garden for a selfie (even when the bunny isn't there) between March 15 and April 4—no registration is required.
Contactless Photo With The Bunny In Dundee
Spring Hill Mall, 1072 Spring Hill Mall: Spring Hill Mall will also be offering bunny pictures this year. The "contactless, socially distant" visits with the Easter Bunny will run from March 18 and April 3. Packages can be viewed online, and you can also reserve your spot between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and between 12 and 6 p.m. on Sunday. Face coverings may be required based on current state regulations.
Free Photos With The Bunny At Deer Park Town Center
Deer Park Town Center, 20530 N. Rand Road, Deer Park: From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on March 27 you can stop out to Deer Park Town Center to get a free, socially distant visit and photo with the Easter Bunny. But, you must register with registration for the timed entry tickets opening here on March 15. Personal cameras for photos will be required and there will not be a photographer available to take pictures. Children stopping out will receive free bunny ears, coloring activity pad and crayons to take home. Masks are required and those stopping out are asked not to come more than 10 minutes before their scheduled time.
