Record Setting Maxx Force Opens Fourth Of July At Six Flags

The new coaster has a world record 60 mph zero-gravity roll, report said.

GURNEE, IL — Six Flags Great America's newest roller coaster opens to park guests on the Fourth of July. According to the Daily Herald, park members got to try out the new ride, Maxx Force, during Wednesday's Membership Appreciation Day celebration. Maxx Force is the second-tallest coaster at Great America, just behind Raging Bull when it comes to height, the news report said.

Maxx Force is located in Carousel Plaza, and features the world's tallest double inversion at 175 feet at its highest point, and a world record 60 mph zero-gravity roll.

According to Six Flags Great America, guests can enjoy spectacular fireworks beginning July 4, 5 and 6 at 9:45 p.m.
