Schedule For Grayslake Family Picnic, Fireworks Announced
New this year, families can rent a tent as a way to promote social distancing while also getting out of the sun.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — The Taste of Grayslake Family Picnic and Fireworks is a go this summer. But like many towns moving forward with festivals after taking last summer off, organizers for Grayslake's family picnic say plans could change if COVID-19 cases surge again or if the state tightens restrictions on gatherings.
But, as of right now, residents can mark their calendars for 3 to 10 p.m. on June 26. The Taste of Grayslake Family Picnic and Fireworks will take place at Central Park.

There will be fireworks at dusk and live music from Vinyl Gold Mine, from 5 to 7 p.m., and from GOOROOS, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Kids carnival rides, food vendors and beer and wine will be available.
A new offering this year will allow families to rent a 10-foot by 10-foot tent. This allows residents concerned over social distancing to secure a spot to relax with their families and friends and also a space to get out of the sun.
