Set Your Sights On Grayslake's 2019 Color Aloft Balloon Festival
The festival will be held on Aug. 24 in Central Park.

GRAYSLAKE, IL — The 7th Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival will take over Grayslake's Central Park Saturday, Aug. 24. Come out with family and friends from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy watching the balloons launch, great musical entertainment, Civil War Era baseball game, children’s activities, storytelling, and business booths. Festival attendees are advised to bring a picnic and set up in the park, as there will be no food vendors at the event.
The annual event kicks off at 3 p.m. with the Civil War Era baseball game in the Lake Street area, followed by hours of festival fun:
- 3 p.m. — Community group activities at various locations in Central Park
- 4 p.m. — Welcome
- 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. — Slam Funk; on stage
- 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Balloon Launch window opens; balloons depart from launch area
- 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Balloon Artist; near stage
- 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. — Balloon Night Glow; launch area
- 9 p.m. — End of festival

- Available at Grayslake Central High School, Grayslake Middle School, Grayslake Aquatic Center, and Grayslake Library.
- Handicap parking is available off of Briar Gate Lane.
- Enter Central Park off of Lake Street for easy access to the festival.

The Grayslake Chamber of Commerce & the Village of Grayslake have announced that starting next year, Color Aloft will be moving to the weekend of Summer Days. Mark your calendar for Friday, Aug. 14 for the 8th Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival.
