After a two-day extension on their winter break due to the weather, students in Community Consolidated School District 46 will return to their classes on Jan. 8.
The district shared this message on its Facebook page: "Please be advised that all CCSD 46 schools will be open and in session tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8th."
Students at schools all over Chicagoland were set to return from winter break Jan. 6, but because of the sub-zero temperatures, school officials canceled classes Jan. 6 and 7.Â
The forecast high for Jan. 8 is 11 degrees.
