WI Man Hurt After Crashing Into Pole, Tree In Waukegan Township
When Lake County Sheriff's deputies arrived, the injured man was laying partially outside the on Ford Green Bay Road at Keith Avenue.
WAUKEGAN TOWNSHIP, IL — Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff's office were called to a crash at 12:50 p.m. Monday on Green Bay Road at Keith Avenue in Waukegan Township. According to a news release from the sheriff's office, the sheriff's office Technical Crash Investigations unit continues investigating the crash involving a 52-year-old man from Kenosha, Wisconsin, who according to early investigation, was driving a 2006 Ford Econoline northbound on Green Bay Road, approaching Keith Avenue. For an unknown reason, the driver crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic, hit a curb, tree and utility pole, before the Ford rolled onto its side and stopped, according to the news release.
When the first deputies arrived at the crash site, the man was laying partially outside the Ford, the sheriff's office said. It was unknown during early investigation if the man was partially ejected during the crash or crawled out of the wreckage, according to the news release.

The man was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with critical injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
