Jennifer H., “Oh super breakfast goodness! My son and I had a breakfast date here. I was excited to get some one on one time. He was excited for the bacon. We both got what we wanted. My kiddo had the pancakes -- which were a huge serving for a kid. I ordered the omelet. Thick, loads of veggies and cheesy goodness. We left satiated and happy. Really, this place just serves a seriously solid breakfast. A hit from our perspective.”

Reneé K., “My parents are visiting from Virginia, so we all went out for dinner. The first place we went to was packed so my husband found this place on Yelp. The owner and the other people working here are so nice. They greeted us as soon as we entered. Between the six of us, four adults and two kids, we packed away a ton of food and all of it was delicious. After I was sure I was stuffed the waitress came by and offered desert, saying it came with the meal. I got the apple raisin bread pudding and was very happy with it. The prices are unbelievable. Me, my husband, and our two kids ate for under $35.”
Kawa Japanese Restaurant, 100 S Atkinson Rd., Grayslake|3.5 stars
Mike B., “First time here, very impressed. I’ve always been VERY hesitant about any AYCE Sushi deals, I’ve tried one or two over the years and found that the Sushi wasn’t particularly fresh, or they give you the tiniest pieces you’ve ever seen, or you have to order off of an incredibly limited menu, etc. So this was my first AYCE experience in many years, and I’m impressed! The fish was very fresh, the menu was robust, the pieces were nice and big.. and I’ve read some other reviews here that were critical of the service, but that simply wasn’t my experience. The staff were all polite, helpful, and prompt. I Will definitely be back!”
Townee Square Restaurant, 508 N Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville| 4 stars
Dimitri V. ”If you’re ever in Libertyville stop by for a breakfast made of art that tastes as good as it looks. This isn’t some typical profit focused food factory. This is a place that focuses on generous high-quality food, made and served by generous high-quality people who care and make you feel like family. This is the best of what American culture always was and hopefully always will be.”
The Liberty Restaurant, 419 S Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville| 4 stars
Julie T., “Great place to go for a Sunday breakfast. I always get the strawberries crepes, and they are out of this world. The owner George is always going out of his way to greet people at their tables and say hello too. Overall, an awesome family run establishment.”
