Attorney General's office orders release of Hinsdale South video

Video of encounter school board member and people campaigning outside school must be made public.

A March encounter between Hinsdale High School District 86 School Board member Claudia Manley, a student and a parent caught on a security camera which the district tried to keep private under the Freedom of Information Act must be made public, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.

A FOIA request by Pioneer Press was initially denied by the district but an appeal to the Illinois Attorney General’s office has now required the video’s disclosure, according to the Tribune story. The opinion said there was no invasion of privacy as the district contended.
