Bringing the Parks To You!

Clarendon Hills Park District: Animals of the Parks to "float" around town on May 13

The Clarendon Hills Park District will be "bringing the parks" to our friends and neighbors on Wednesday, May 13, between approximately 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.. A float with an "Animals of the Parks" theme will be driving around town with costumed chipmunk characters and a fuzzy assortment of stuffed animals! Plans call for the trailer to drive through the area of Clarendon Hills north of the railroad tracks at the start of the event, followed by a parade through the southern end of town. More detailed maps can be found on the Clarendon Hills Park District's Facebook page, as well as on our website at www.clarendonhillsparkdistrict.org. This event has been planned by the recreation team at the Clarendon Hills Park District, with trailer construction completed by members of the parks maintenance staff. Last week, a "Fairy Tale" theme delighted local youngsters during the parade. These special events have been designed to boost the spirits of local residents during the pandemic. We hope you'll wave to us along the parade route! Be safe!
